(Serves 2) Our dressing, made with the best ingredients, captures all of the bold flavor and texture of old-fashioned, whole grain mustard and will bring your salads "to life"!
· 1/3 pound slab bacon, cut into 1/2-inch cubes · 12 croutons (1/2-inch cubes) cut from sweet French bread (crust removed, rubbed with garlic and lightly toasted) · 1/3 cup Life in Provence™ Whole Grain Mustard Dressing · 3 cups torn frisee or curly endive, rinsed and patted dry
Sauté the bacon in a small heavy skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes. When browned, remove it with a slotted spoon and set it aside. Add the croutons to the skillet and sauté until the bread is browned on all sides. Return the bacon to the skillet and heat it rapidly with the croutons, stirring constantly, until very hot. Remove the skillet from the heat and quickly add 1/3 cup of the Whole Grain Mustard Dressing, stirring well. Place the chicory in a salad bowl and toss it with the hot dressing, bacon, and croutons. Serve immediately. The Whole Grain Salad Dressing is also delicious on cobb salads and grilled chicken salads.
