Welcome to
life in Provence. I’m Anthony Dias Blue with BON APPETIT Lifestyle on KFWB
News980. Provence is full of
good food. I love the fresh and spicy vegetable dish called ratatouille, for
example. There’s aioli, a mayonnaise infused with lots of garlic. It’s great
on french fries or with grilled fish. Rouille is another spicy mayonnaise-based
sauce from Provence, which is used to top off the fish stew called
bouillabaisse, a specialty of Marseille. You can also use rouille on sandwiches.
Then there are the beautiful small niçoise olives from the Riviera. You can get
all these Provençal products and more from a new company called life in
Provence. They’re based in San Francisco, but they sell all their imported
items at Aristoff in Beverly Hills, the Village Gourmet in Studio City, and Mr.
Marcel at the Farmer’s Market. All Life in Provence products are completely
natural and contain no preservatives. Life in Provence is also about to launch a
line of imported jams from the South of France. I’m Anthony Dias Blue with
BON APPETIT Lifestyle on KFWB News980.
