"Life In Provence" debuts at Fancy Food Show

January 15, 1999

For Immediate Release

Visitors to San Francisco's Fancy Food Show will think they've been transported to the South of France when they arrive at booth 3829. This fantasy vacation is courtesy of "Life in Provence," which is launching its line of gourmet products at the show.

Everything about the products is authentically Provencal, from the soil in which they grow, to the simple but painstaking preparation and presentation. Even the voices of the two company co-presidents hint at their French roots. "Great food is the heart of life in Provence, where fresh ingredients and robust flavors come together to make simple, healthy meals," explained Donatien. "We have taken those fresh, healthy ingredients and created authentic Provencal products so that Americans can celebrate the spirit of Provence."

The product line includes vegetable dishes such as ratatouille and aubergines Provencal; vinaigrettes, aiolis and rouille; as well as tapenades, olive oils and nicoise olives. Beautifully packaged in glass jars, the products will debut in specialty retailers in New York and San Francisco. Distribution will roll-out across the country throughout the year.

In preparing for this launch Co-Presidents Julien and Donatien have demonstrated that while great food is at their heart of their lives, business is ruled by their heads. Julien was formerly involved in the management of several high tech start-ups in the Bay Area while Donatien was a manager for Danone International Brands in Malaysia and Thailand, where he worked on such brands as Evian, Lea & Perrins and Maille mustards.

The entire line underwent testing and adapting prior to this launch to assure that the products fit the realities of American lifestyles, while delivering the spirit of life in Provence.

People who are interested in transporting more than their taste buds should visit the booth or the company's website (www.lifeinprovence) for information about their "Win A Trip To Provence" contest.
