Camargue
Dried out in summer, flooded and swept up by an icy
wind in winter, Camargue is an extreme region situated on the delta of the River
Rhone. It’s the country of the marshes, white horses and black bulls breeds
outside. It is still an intact place, a vast natural park with bird preserves
and refuges for wild animals. Camargue is also an agricultural region thanks to
its cereal fields, its paddy fields and its market gardening but it is also well
known because of the salt pens dominated by the mountains of salt. The much
sought-after bird is the pink flamingo (it is also the symbol of Camargue)
